Altima and Autotrader are a match made in heaven, as the Altima received a spot on Autotrader’s “12 Best New Cars of 2019” hotlist.

Altima Awes Autotrader

In April, the 2019 Nissan Altima made a triumphant showing on Autotrader’s annual best-of car listing. The 2019 Altima was a big hit with Autotrader reviewers, who said that, “a new high-tech turbo engine, the option of all-wheel drive and a host of driver assist are part of the reason we added the updated Altima to our list this year.”
Autotrader was particularly wowed by the 2019 Altima’s interior design, noting that the car features “a premium interior that makes you feel like you’re in a much more expensive car, especially in the higher trims.”
Autotrader also appreciated the 2019 Altima’s all-wheel drive offering, stating it makes Nissan’s sedan “stand out compared to the Toyota Camry and the Honda Accord.”
The 2019 Altima’s available VC-Turbo variable compression engine powered the car past the competition, with Autotrader noting the engine “delivers more power when you need it and more efficiency at cruising speeds.”
The Altima was featured alongside 11 other cars, trucks and SUVs, with Autotrading noting, “every car on this list is completely redesigned or an all-new model for this year.”
The 2019 Altima was one of only two sedans to place on the list. While Autotrader also appreciated Hyundai’s luxury-level Genesis G70 sedan, Nissan’s 2019 Altima was the only midsize, affordable offering on the list, coming in at $11,000 less than the starting price of the G70.

Nissan highlighted the 2019 Altima’s five trim levels, standard 2.5-liter engine and available Intelligent All-Wheel Drive. For power-hungry buyers, Nissan noted the Altima SR and Platinum grades, which feature the advanced 2.0-liter VC-Turbo engine.
Nissan wrote of the wide range of features that come standard alongside the Altima’s starting MSRP of $24,00. Amenities such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both included, as well as an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat and 8.0-inch color display with multi-touch control.
The 2019 Altima is equipped with a range of standard safety and assist features, including Automatic Emergency Braking, Intelligent Forward Collision Warning and Rear Door Alert. Further protection and aid is offered in Nissan’s hottest sedan, with the automaker noting “exclusive Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies such as the advanced ProPILOT Assist3.”
